Class description:
The SOMA Breath Energized Meditation Routine is a 1-hour long workshop combining movement, chanting and breathwork all guided with uplifting, music. It is designed to help participants become very efficient at using oxygen, and to build a tolerance to carbon dioxide.
Energized Meditation helps people to slow down their breathing to less than 10 breaths per minute, and encourages people to breathe through their nose more. The Energized Meditation Routine is designed to release tension from the body, boost your mood, and be a super-effective breathwork meditation.
Benefits of Energized Meditation include:
- Improvement in CO2 tolerance and nitric oxide production.
- Improved oxygenation of tissue cells.
- Reduced tension.
- Oxygen efficiency.
- Improved cardiovascular health.
- Better concentration and meditation.
- Stimulates both hemispheres of the brain.
- Stimulates neurogenesis and ‘brain change’.
Additional details:
We breathe to specially crafted trypnaural beats, as we use a combination of breathing rhythms and breathholds to boost the relaxation experience.
All you need to do is lay back and follow the guidance.
Whether you come for the good night sleep this brings, the stress relief and better emotional regulation it creates, the amazing health benefits, or the fun and good feelings - you will experience the many positive benefits breathwork brings to your life.
We do breathwork partly because it feels good, but also for how it effects our life in the following hours and days after the session. It’s powerful stuff.
We will provide yoga mats for you to lay on, and the floor is heated, but please bring anything else you feel you might need, like a scarf to throw over you, a small bottle of water, or something to cover your eyes (like an eye mask) if you wish.
These are just suggestions for extra comfort.
As SOMA Breath is a stronger form of breathwork, we do ask you to disclose any serious health concerns, and sign a health form before the class. This is a normal procedure for all stronger breathwork classes. Safety first! Please keep this in mind.
Christine is an advanced SOMA Breath instructor, and looks forward to guiding you. If you have any questions before the session, please do reach out.
